Australian Catholic Youth Festival 2017

About 8,400 students from Sydney Catholic schools will join other young Catholics at the Australian Catholic Youth Festival (ACYF) to deepen their faith, empower others, and celebrate the vitality of the Church.

The event marks the beginning of the Year of Youth and almost a decade since Sydney hosted World Youth Day in 2008.

Day 1: ACYF begins

Performance joy for Goodjarga graduate (12/8/2017) - Thousands witnessed All Saints' Casula graduate Bianca Ceissman's last dance with Sydney Catholic Schools' Indigenous performance ensemble.
Encounter dome a space for exploration (12/8/2017) - The ACYF encounter dome gave space for fun, faith and conversation.
Panama Ola! WYD 2019 on horizon (12/7/2017) - Students can choose from three pilgrimage options for World Youth Day 2019.
Opening plenary: Students respond (12/7/2017) - Sydney Catholic schools students share what they liked best about the session, and their plan for the festival’s first day.
ACYF welcomes ‘generation driven by joy’ (12/7/2017) - The Australian Catholic Youth Festival welcome encouraged the crowd to be 'inspired and driven by joy'.

Day 2: All the action

Discovery at heart of festival (12/9/2017) - Themes of technology, social justice, mental health and positive relationships were omnipresent at the Festival.
Mass and a-maze-ment in worship space (12/8/2017) - The ACYF Worship Centre provided many opportunities for prayer.
Morning two: Power in conversation (12/8/2017) - Day two of the festival brought more opportunities to broaden minds, deepen faith and share joy.
