Years 5 and 6 students across Sydney Catholic Schools have celebrated Christmas by creating paintings that would be impressive for artists four times their age.
Made especially for The Christmas Story Art Exhibition and Competition 2018, all of the beautiful works in the gallery above won prizes or were highly commended.
“I created my artwork to represent how God’s love is like the love of a mother,” said Year 5 Holy Innocents’ Catholic Primary School Croydon student Mahira Sharma.
“Like a mother God has so many hopes for our world. The birth of Jesus marked the beginning of God’s plans to save his people from their sins.”
