The imagination’s of Years 1 and 2 students at St Charles’ Catholic Primary Ryde soared when Nova radio duo Fitzy and Wippa read to them from Roald Dahl’s classic books.
The pair visited the school on February 6 visit to encourage a love of reading and promote a 14-part collectors set of the British author’s works. The young audience listened attentively to a chapter from two books: The Twits and James and the Giant Peach.
Fitzy told the students Mr Twit liked to play practical jokes like he and Wippa did on air. “When I was six years old we used to read these books by Roald Dahl, and they were our favourite books of all time,’ he said.
