An early wake up for Bus 5 today with a 5.45am departure so that we could get to St Peter’s Basilica in time for Mass at 8am. We were fortunate enough to have mass celebrated by Cardinal George Pell in the Basilica which was absolutely beautiful.

Alessandro and Alessia, our tour guides took us on a walking tour through Rome where we got to see the Colosseum, Forum, Circus Maximus, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Sistene Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica again.
We were all exhausted by the end of it, but excited because we knew that with all our walking (15,000 steps to be precise), we had certainly earnt our gelato today!!
An amazing day with huge cultural and spiritual significance and many laughs.
