Action at Mackillop touch footy trials

The passing was quick and the running was fast at the NSW Catholic Primary Schools MacKillop Touch Trials held at The Kingsway Playing Fields, St Marys on 20 May.

The selection trials involved five boys’ teams and five girls’ teams from the MacKillop Dioceses of Sydney, Canberra/Goulburn, Parramatta, Wagga Wagga and Wollongong. Each of the 120 players taking part were vying for selection on the MacKillop teams to compete at the NSW PSSA State Boys and Girls Touch Carnivals at the end of July and August.

After each diocese had played each other, selected players were placed into a possible or probable team and from that game the final MacKillop team was chosen.

Troy Moran, Sydney Archdiocesan Primary Sport Coordinator said the games were all played in good spirits and the standard of competition was very high.
