Marist Sisters’ boatshed blessed

Marist Sisters College Woolwich Boatshed.

Marist Sisters’ Principal Anne Anderson, Fr Kevin Bates sm, Sr Kate McPhee sm and Hunters Hill mayor Richard Quinn at the official opening and blessing of the schools new boatshed.

Marist Sisters College Woolwich’s new boatshed, named after the boat that brought the Marist Sisters to the suburb, has been opened and blessed.

“Navua” was of the first boats that brought the Marist Sisters Mother Melanie, Sr Cyrille and Sr Odilon to the site where Marist Sisters’ College Woolwich now stands by the water.

“Navua will provide many opportunities for our students to extend their learning experience through sailing,” said Principal Anne Anderson.

The blessing was performed by Fr Kevin Bates SM Parish Priest Holy Name of Mary Hunters Hill while Sr Kate McPhee SM opened the shed on behalf of Marist Sisters Australia.
