Two children honoured for exceptional bravery

Two children from St Andrew’s Catholic Primary School Malabar have been honoured with bravery awards for trying to save their father’s life.

In February this year Euan and Ella Kenny discovered their father unconscious and called Triple Zero (000).

The siblings calmly took instructions from an Ambulance call-taker and started CPR to revive their father while they waited for the paramedics to arrive.

Health Minister, Jillian Skinner presented a range of awards at Campbelltown Ambulance Station to brave members of the community for ‘Thank a Paramedic Day’.

Euan in Year 5 and Ella, Year 6, were given certificates of Recognition (Community).

Sadly, their father died later.
