The dance troupes at Bethany College Hurstville have blitzed the competition again coming overall first at the Catholic Girls Secondary Schools Sports Association (CGSSSA) Dance Championships.
They’ve beaten 14 schools and 52 teams.
Bethany Dance Teacher, Danielle Como, said she was so proud of all the dedication the girls had demonstrated.
“Giving up their lunch breaks and holidays to choreograph and rehearse these dances. The results reflect their hard work,” she said.
The results for Bethany Dancers were: 1st Creative Dance, 1st Hip Hop, 1st Jazz, 2nd Folk Dance, 3rd Tap and 3rd Modern/Contemporary.
Earlier this year, they won 1st Place in the Sydney Catholic Colleges Championship as well as 1st overall and a 2nd Place and Highly Commended in the City of Sydney Eisteddfod against 33 schools.
Their victories have been especially sweet, because they compete against schools that have their own professional choreographers. Team Bethany choreographs all its own work.
