Brigidine College Randwick’s Year 12 hospitality students took over the dining room and Kitchens at Italian restaurant Pinocchio’s to prepare and served meals for 130 customers.

It’s the second year the College and restaurant have partnered for the event, which helps students accrue workplace hours towards a Certificate II in Hospitality – Kitchen Operations.

The menu included scallops, eye fillet steak with mushroom sauce, Atlantic salmon with cream dill sauce, and chocolate mousse.

“I was exhausted at the end of the night but also satisfied with what we had accomplished,” said hospitality student Christina Retsas.

Restaurant owner George Manias said he was very impressed with the Brigidine students’ work ethic, while parents and teachers said the food and atmosphere were excellent.

“The girls are so professional and achieve so much experience through this evening,” said Careers Advisor Jenny Nicholas.
